He who seeks pleasure in sensual delights will never escape them. It is a pursuit that leads to consequences, unless one rejects all such pleasures in every age. No one can escape the hardships of life. He desires them, and they exist. All these sensual delights are to be blamed.
Ullam: Let all things flee from them. Let them bear their just sufferings.
We consider those who are greater than the just to be driven by pleasure itself. And pain, the greatest of all pains, unless it be pleasure. Pain, having arisen, hinders pleasure; these are its functions, or something like that.
